Annual Conference 2026 (Belgrade)

The MiCropBiomes COST Action warmly invites researchers, early-career scientists, and stakeholders to participate in its 3rd Annual Conference on “Plant Microbiomes”,  to be held in Belgrade, Serbia, from 3 to 5 June 2026. Bringing together 60–70 participants from across Europe and beyond, the conference will provide a vibrant forum for scientific exchange, networking, and collaboration within the MiCropBiomes community

The event will showcase cutting-edge research through oral presentations and poster sessions addressing plant microbiomes and their responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. Interactive plenary sessions and Working Group meetings will foster discussion, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and support the development of joint strategies to advance the project’s objectives and maximize impact during the grant period.

We welcome contributions aligned with all five Working Groups:

WG 1: Plant-microbiome molecular crosstalks: diversity, distribution, and eco-evolutionary perspectives
WG 2: Crop-microbiome assembly dynamics under specific environments
WG 3: Crop microbiomes and plant diseases: from dysbiosis to increased defenses
WG 4: From current microbial inoculants to synthetic communities
WG 5: Communication and engagement with the society

As social events, there will be a Welcome cocktail in the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac” on June 3rd and a Danube and Sava River Cruising on June 4th.

The deadline for registration and abstract submission is April 12, 2026.
The expected date for notification of acceptance is April 27, 2026.
