2nd Annual Conference

From 17 to 19 June 2025, the MiCropBiomes COST Action will hold its 2nd Annual Conference on “Plant Microbiomes” in Lemesos, Cyprus. 60 to 70 participants are expected to attend the conference. Scientific presentations and poster sessions serve to exchange knowledge and share technical expertise on plant microbiomes and their response to biotic and abiotic stress factors. Plenary and working group sessions will serve as a platform to discuss the strategy for achieving the project objectives and the grant period goals.

The conference will address topics of all five Working Groups:

WG 1: Exploiting plant-microbiome molecular crosstalks: diversity, distribution and eco-evolutionary perspectives
WG 2: Crop-microbiome assembly dynamics under specific environments
WG 3: Crop microbiomes and plant diseases: from dysbiosis to increased defenses
WG 4: From current microbial inoculants to synthetic communities
WG 5: Communication and engagement with society

The deadline for registration and abstract submission was April 18, 2025. Registration is no longer possible
The expected date for notification of acceptance is April 28, 2025.

Upon on-site registration, all participants will be required to pay €15 per lunch (€30 in total for lunches on June 17th and 18th), which will be provided on-site during the conference.

The Local Organizers Support will cover:
(a) All coffee breaks
(b) The conference dinner (Dinner is not included for those attending at their own expense.)
(c) Conference materials (including a bag, badge and PDF abstract book)
(d) Access to social event: The visit to the Archaeological Site of Kourion (June 19th)
