Training School 2026 (Girona)

Training School on “SynComs Development”

The MiCropBiomes COST Action will hold its 4th Training School on “SynComs Development” in Girona, Spain, from July 20 to 23, 2026.

Application for participation in the Training School is now possible. Accepted candidates will receive training on SynComs development, including selection of strains, compatibility tests, production, and monitoring. Moreover, hands-on experience will be provided to get familiar with methodologies used for consortia designing, development and testing.

The MiCropBiomes COST Action CA22158 will cover part of the travel and subsistence costs of the Trainees according to the Annotated Rules for COST Actions (please check Section A1-3.1 Travel Reimbursement Rules). The financial support is a fixed contribution of up to 1,100 € for max. 8 persons. Trainees grants do not necessarily cover all expenses related to attending the Training School.

The application deadline is 12 June, 2026.
